Commercial Properties Limited has recently recertified five BOMA BEST® buildings in Saint John. BOMA BEST® is Canada’s largest environmental assessment and certification program for existing buildings. It is a voluntary program which recognizes excellence in energy efficient and environmental management practices in commercial real estate. Somerset Square has been recertified at the Gold Level, 180 Crown Street, Mercantile Centre and Brunswick House at the Silver Level, and Red Rose Building at the Bronze Level.
“We’re proud to be taking part in such an evolutionary program,” says Megan Scott, Manager of Sustainability and Business Operations at Commercial Properties Limited. “BOMA BEST® has given us the tools to work towards higher preforming buildings which will ultimately contribute to more sustainable communities throughout New Brunswick.”
Commercial Properties Limited’s buildings that were recertified with BOMA BEST® in 2018 are being celebrated with a certificate presentation on March 7th. BOMA NB/PEI board members will formally present certificates at each of the five buildings this Thursday.
